Review websites are now an integral part of the travel industry and booking process but recent concerns about them being manipulated by service providers are a worry. By posting your comments about venues, properties and Westway Travel I can assure you of two things.

1) The right people will see them. By this I mean either you, Westway clients or other travellers will read reviews from like minded local people.
2) I will personally be following all comments and will add my thoughts to all postings.

Remember we are independent of all Tour Operators and hotels and have no bias towards any product range. It is my staffsí job to make sure you experience the best holiday possible.

I thank you in advance for taking the time to complete the guest book.

A note to thank you for your assistance in booking our transport and hotel in the beautiful city of Paris. We had a fabulous time, and knowing that everything was in safe hands during the booking process made things very stress-free.

Many thanks for all your kind attention.

Ian Prior reply: Hi Sarah Honeymooned in Paris so I know she is always keen to go that extra step to get Paris holidays right. I am so pleased you had a great time and I thank you for taking the time to complete our guestbook

Hi Sarah, just a quick email from the beautiful beach in Mexico to say a huge thank you to you all there for booking us another amazing holiday, it is paradise!!!

Thank you

The Twyfords xx

Ian Prior reply: Good news about Mexico. With beaches this good it makes sense to take the value here rather than the more expensive Indian Ocean or Caribbean

Just returned from a wonderful two weeks aboard Viking's Baldur River Cruise. We cannot find anything at all that was less than perfect, from the welcome aboard to the constant care and attention from everyone on the staff; we were two of only half-a-dozen British travellers, the rest were Americans, so friendly and pleasant and determined to enjoy every minute. The food was quite exceptional - from the breakfasts to the thoughtful and delicious dinner menus. We saw so much of the lovely countryside through which we were passing and the guides were wonderful - so knowledgeable and able to bring the many different places through which we passed to life.
Our grateful thanks Jenny Green for organising this. unforgettable trip.

Ian Prior reply: Heather and Peter. I am so pleased you enjoyed your River cruise. I understand this is your first river cruise and this concept is really taking off now. A lot of clients are enjoying the smaller ships and the easy excursion opportunities. Will you try another river next time? Regards Ian

Hi Cyan

We both really enjoyed Cape Verde; we had a lovely relaxing time.
Hotel Morabeza looked after us really well, we had a very nice sea view room and the Hotel , staff and amenities were all excellent.
Tracy, the Cape Verde Experience Rep was waiting to greet us on arrival and was very friendly and helpful, and again on our return everything was organised very well. Even the Thomson flights were good!
Salís white sandy beach and the turquoise sea were stunning and we enjoyed a daily stroll to the nearby pier to watch the local fishermen bring in their catch each day.
Hotel Morabeza was within easy walking distance of all the local restaurants, bars & shops; there were plenty of little restaurants to choose from in Santa Maria and we didnít have one bad meal whilst we were there.
We felt very safe walking around Santa Maria both day and night and if we ever fancy some more early spring sunshine we would certainly consider returning to the Morabeza and Cape Verde.

A big thank you, Cyan for recommending Cape Verde, it certainly didnít disappoint.

We canít wait now until August and our Florida trip...........

Thanks again

Ian Prior reply: Hi, Thanks for your Kind words about Cyan and I will make sure she gets a pat on the back. It is great to hear you enjoyed your Cape Verde holiday and I look forward to hearing about Florida

To Tina and the westway team.

Having just returned from the Maldives (Kurumba) I have to say from the moment we got off the BA flight until we returned to the UK the hotel staff and Management gave us an experience we will not forget.

From our rooms to all 8 restaurants, beaches, night life, staff, water sports, and service was nothing less than 5 star.

Whatever you wanted the staff would do all they could to make sure it was given.

We hope to return next year to the same island, anyone reading this if you can at anytime visit Kurumba will be a holiday to remember.

Many thanks to all.

Mel & Sue Smith. :D

Ian Prior reply: Mel. Good to see after years of travelling a holiday still excites you. thanks for your kind words and thking the time to complete the guestbook

Hello Tina, Ian and all at Westway Travel

Once again we were very happy with the professionalism and advice of Westway Travel when booking a recent holiday to the Dominican Republic.
We stayed for two weeks at the Dreams Palm Beach Hotel, Punta Cana and without a shadow of doubt it was one of the best holidays we have ever had. The hotel and friendliness of the staff could not have been better and we would definitely return here in the future. The hotel is not too large, has beautifully maintained gardens and superb swimming pools. The sand on the beach is pure white and the sea beautiful and warm. We would suggest if you are looking for a quiet couples type of place then probably this is not the hotel for you. However it ticks all the boxes in every respect for families and groups. We thoroughly enjoyed the food in the six restaurants the bonus being no reservations are necessary. Yes a really lovely hotel that we would thoroughly recommend :D

Ian Prior reply: Derek. Thanks for signing the Guestbook. Great news about the holiday and it sounds like we will be organising a return visit. Ian

Once again Michelle has put together our holiday which met all our expectations. I gave her travel dates and a rough idea of our places of interest and she put together the trip of a lifetime, six weeks to celebrate Gerry's retirement.
We flew Emirates from Glasgow which cut out Heathrow a real bonus, stopped in Singapore for two noughts and then went on to Melbourne. Fabulous city which we hadn't considered, very memorable as we secured tickets to the Aus open once we arrived and also drove the Great Ocean Road to view the Tweve Apostles which was truly stunning and well worth the 10 hour day out, if I was to advise anyone I would suggest including a night away if possible but if you are happy driving it's beautiful. From there we went to NZ to visit relatives and then flew back to Sydney to continue the holiday. We did a Pacific drive over 12 days from Sydney to Brisbane with really good stopovers along the way. All of the properties were excellent, some better than others but as we just slept in the rooms no complaints at all. We particularly liked Port Macquarrie, and Byron Bay not so keen on Coffs Harbour. From Brisbane we stayed on Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays which was idyllic and as the Island is held by one company we were able to eat and drink anywhere and add it to the bill so only one transaction for the four days. Due to a cyclone our plane out was cancelled but it was rebooked seamlessly and if I had to be stranded anywhere that was definitely the place to be :o . Our last days in Aus were spent inPort Douglas north of Cairns, the weather here was very tropical, hot and humid which took a bit of getting used to but the snorkelling trip to the Barrier Reef was stunning. Although I would suggest anyone travelling to Aus at the time of Chinese New Year pre books any trips as they book up everything. Which makes last minute bookings impossible. On the way home we stopped in Dubai for 4 nights as it's 14 hrs from Sydney and we wanted a break, didn't want to come home really :D .
We could never have put a trip like this together and Michelle's knowledge and experience definitely gave us the best experience ever, I think knowing us as regular clients also helps her choose a trip to suit us. Thank you so much Michelle, looking forward to the next one!

Ian Prior reply: Katrina, Yes Australia can be so addictive and I am pleased to see that you will consider Westway Travel and Michelle again.

Westward Travel are excellent!
My husband and I had very specific requirements for our two week holiday in January. We had tried a number of big travel agents who could not provide us with an itinerary that met our needs. No one wants to spend their holiday sitting in airports! relative recommended Westway travel and from the moment we walked through the door and were met by Claire King we had confidence in the excellent service they provided.
Claire listened to our plans for visiting Varanasi in India and travelling onto Goa,Kerala or Sri Lanka for a beach holiday. Claire and the team quickly put together an itinerary and suggested visiting Lucknow during our time in India. Nothing was to much trouble for Claire as we added days and tweeked the plans until we had the perfect trip.
Westway are very friendly and client focused and take pride in making sure you get your ideal holiday.
We had an amazing trip to India and Westway worked with Western Oriental to provide us with a professional seemless tour. The hotels we stayed in were very impressive and the tour guides and transfers excellent. We spent I night in Delhi and flew down to Luknow for two nights, such a historic interesting city we loved it. We then had a car take us to Varanasi and although the weather was cold and foggy we were not disappointed. The sunset and sunrise boat trips on the Ganges will stay with us forever....truly inspirational. We packed so much into our 5 nights and had the chance to see the real India not the tourist traps.
After our fantastic tour we spent 8 nights in Sri Lanka at the Dolphin Club Resort in Negombo. This was a lovely big resort spread out along a golden sand beach. The rooms are very big, clean and extremely comfortable. The hotel staff are wonderful and work hard to make sure you enjoy your stay. There are lots of facilities in the hotel and we would have no hesitation returning.
Thank you so much Westway Travel for giving us our perfect holiday. Claire King had her work cut out meeting our demanding travel requirements and not only did Claire meet them but she surpassed them. Claire is a credit to your company and we will be recommending you in the future, well done!

Ian Prior reply: Kay. Thanks for these kind words and it certainly does look as if claire has done a tremendous job and I will make sure she gets a big pat on the back.

Our thanks to Jenny Green in the Upminster Office for booking a cruise with Holland America on the Veendam. She was most helpful in answering queries, liaising with Holland America on our behalf and ensuring that all cruise plans went smoothly.

The cruise started in San Diego and ended in Fort Lauderdale. Day visits were made to ports in Mexico, Guatamala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Columbia. This gave a taste of life in these countries, some really poor, and others which have developed hugely through the tourist trade. Only at Cartagena in Columbia was another ship in dock so no hoards of tourists traipsing round the same routes. On-shore excursions were well organised. Without doubt, the highlight of the cruise was the day's transfer through The Panama Canal - what an incredible feat of engineering and quite amazing that this was achieved 100 years ago. With only 3 feet clearance on either side, it was fascinating to stand on deck and watch the procedure of keeping the ship straight - using mechanised tractors with hawsers either side. Quite 'awesome'!

The ship, although one of the older ones in the HA fleet, is kept pristinely clean at all times and there is great emphasis on hand washing and using the sanitising machines. We had a balcony cabin which had plenty of storage space. Our steward was helpful and friendly and indeed all the staff always seemed cheerful. Restaurants had 2 fixed time sittings or you could choose to eat at 'any time'. Menu choices were good and all the food was well presented and with amply portions. The entertainment included shows from the cast as well as excellent visiting artistes. The clientele on this trip (during term time)were mostly retired or senior (there were no children aboard)mainly from the US or Canada.

We had organised our own flights and there was no problem with arranging this to suit the cruise timings.

Ian Prior reply: Penolope. Can I thank you for taking the time to post a review on our guest book. Your comments about Holland America are well made and I will share these out among the team at Westway Travel.
