About: Puerto Pollensa, Majorca
The resort of Puerto Pollensa was recommended to us by Westway. The resort was perfect for our young family and it was one of the best holidays we have ever had. The self catering accommodation at Las Velas was excellent and the whole trip went smoothly from start to finish. The location to the beach was fantastic as Westway suggested and the atmosphere of the place was just what we were after. I feel you met our specifications perfectly.
Many thanks for all your help and we look toward to booking our next holiday with you in the near future.

About: Greece - Alonnisos - Illias studios
Thank you we had a lovely time on Alonnisos
The apartments of Illias studios were lovely, typically Greek with small bathroom and hard bed, but one of the cleanest studios I have ever stayed in. It was very well equipped. (Not that I used the kitchen) It was a short walk to the harbour with restaurant and bars, plus supermarkets. The local beach was only 5 min walk but a bigger beach was about 30 minute walk with sun beds and umbrella for €6 a day. Also had bars and restaurants. To get to this beach you walked down 150 steps okay going down but gets your heart rate going coming back up. The island is beautiful and is very quite and laid back with the cleanest sea water I have ever swam in.
The down side of this holiday
Once you land in Skiathos to get to the port is 5 minute coach ride but we had to wait 4 hours for the ferry. It would have been longer but out flight was delayed by 90 minutes. The ferry crossing took about 30 to 40 minutes.
On our return we had to catch the 6.40am ferry for a 4 pm flight home this flight was also delayed by 90 minutes. On both occasions we did not know about the delay until we were sitting on the plane.
On our wait in Skiathos we were told to leave our cases in a bar this bar had loads of cases and people going up to their bags collecting what they wanted and leaving them again. In this day and age with flight and bag security anyone could tamper with the bags. I found this a bit worrying.

Ian Prior reply: Yes I can understand your concerns about baggage and timings. Some of the islands in Greece are remote and keeping control of costs sometimes means we have to wait for a ferry over the expense of a private boat or day room in hotels. I have spoken to Cyan about the booking and we will pay special attention to this should you choose anther away from it all island

About: Alghero Carlos V hotel
Eventually made it to Alghero having had to cancel a previous trip. Hotel is in a great position overlooking the sea and is superb in every way. Quite a walk to the town and harbour but would be fine if you are younger and fitter than us.!! We went with Just Sardinia and their rep met us at the airport and kept in touch by text several times during the week. We were very impressed with this company. My usual thanks to Maxine for all she did to make this holiday really enjoyable.

Just Sardinia are one of a group of small companies that try to personalise the service they offer. So many clients feel that there are only big companies to make bookings with but in reality we work with many smaller ones. Perhaps next year we can introduce you to another of these tour operators

About: Capodimonte Hotel - Sorrento
Emma did a great job of organising every detail of our holiday to Sorrento which made it very relaxing for us. A great hotel and excellent service throughout.
As mentioned to Emma our only comment is that it would be even better service if the Citalia rep was to meet you in person at some point at the beginning of your holiday to discuss tours, etc., rather than only having e-mail/phone contact, although this was not a problem at all because the hotel staff provided a fantastic service and covered all of our requirements

About: Galleon Hotel Sitges
Once again the trip was a lovely early break. Great warm weather. Good flights (on time this year)
The hotel was just as good as last years which was the Platjador (being sister hotels one would hope so). Phil preferred last years as it was right on the prom whereas the Galleon was in town. We had a very large balcony right at roof top level - Room 401 - worth remembering. The pool was quiet but had a lot of blossoming trees around it (such a small complaint) which fell on the sun beds etc.
I once again went paddle boarding - Sitges SUP, which was lovely and a day trip to see inside the Sagrada Famillia. The hotel is only about 4 minutes walk from the bus stop for Barcelona/Airport buses.

About: Venice - Hotel Kette
We had a most enjoyable holiday and especially the staff at hotel Kette were very friendly and helpful for us both. The water taxi worked well and on time.
The only thing that I would mention for any one else arriving at Marco Polo airport which is being extended as you are probably aware. When given instructions to find the water taxi was first to walk through the car park and as it was raining we missed the turning for the water taxi! We then walked back and retraced our steps to find the signs and found the covered walk way our mistake and very easy on the way back!

Transfers at Marco Polo are always difficult to organise because the real private transfers cost so much money but perhaps on arrival it may be a cost worth considering. You observations have reignited the debate and I will have a look at how we can improve the advice we give our clients going to Venice

All good thank you Tina, hotel was good and in a great position, transfer took us to the Radisson Blu in Nice instead of Cannes but all your paper work was in order and it only took us 10mins out of our way – all good thanks for another successful trip.

About: Dubrovnik - Grand Villa Argentina
Just to let you know we had an amazing time! I would definitely recommend the hotel, sitting on the terrace with views of Lokrum Island and Dubrovnik old Town while eating breakfast was incredible. We loved Croatia and went on a number of coach trips, ancient Montenegro, Mostar and 'Into the Countryside' we filled everyday with something special whether it was a boat trip or tuk tuk ride up the mountains.
It really was a memorable holiday.

About: Las Vegas - Bellagio Hotel
The Las Vegas trip was very good. All arrangements worked well and 5 days was just about right for this type of holiday.
Helicopter Trip to the Grand Canyon & Hoover Dam was a real highlight. We had the front seats and the views were amazing. Flying over the strip at night, on the return trip was magical. (Maverick Helicopters)
Needless to say, The Bellagio Hotel is outstanding. We must have visited 10 hotels on our walks but even the Wynn Hotel, good as it is, did not match the Bellagio. The Fountain view from our room was spectacular.
Temperatures ranged from 80 degs when we arrived and built up to 107 when we left. Challenging but enjoyable.
The weekend that we stayed in Las Vegas is MEMORIAL WEEKEND. Very busy with the high rollers coming in from all corners of the USA. Never seen money spent like it. They gamble 24/7 and I am not kidding.
